Why Haven of Hope Eswatini?

Haven of Hope Eswatini (HOHE) is more than a place—it is a calling, a lifeline, a divine response to one of the greatest humanitarian and spiritual challenges of our time. Situated in the heart of Southern Africa, Eswatini is a country marked by beauty and struggle, resilience and vulnerability. The Eswatini Partnership was launched in 2007. Haven of Hope Eswatini emerged out of that ministry in 2021. Over the last two decades, over 40 Global Outreach teams, many churches and more than 900 people have visited Eswatini under the Eswatini Partnership. HOHE has emerged as a centerpiece of holistic refuge for women and children escaping abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Since its founding, this ministry has sought to embody the Gospel of Jesus Christ not merely in words, but in actions—actions that heal bodies, renew minds, and restore souls. Led by faithful and sacrificial professionals and volunteers, Haven of Hope Eswatini staff intend that every rescued person have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Why Eswatini?

Eswatini faces high levels of poverty, HIV/AIDS prevalence, gender-based violence, and human trafficking. Yet it is also a place of vibrant potential. With a median age of just 21, the country is filled with young people who can lead a new era of healing, justice, and faith—if they are properly equipped.

Haven of Hope Eswatini is strategically located to serve as both a sanctuary and a launchpad. Cases come from all corners of Eswatini via the national Social Services network.
